The Bisha Mine is a large precious and base metal-rich volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) deposit located 150km west of Asmara, Eritrea, East Africa.

Deposit mineralization consists of gold and silver oxides, in addition to copper and zinc massive sulfides.

The Mine went into production in February 2011 and produced low-cost gold for the first two years. In 2013 the Mine expanded and converted to high-grade copper concentrate production. Bisha enjoys 11+ years of high-grade mineral reserves.

The Bisha Mine is expected to produce payable metals of 891 million pounds of copper, 414,000 ounces of gold, 1.7 billion pounds of zinc, and 14 million ounces of silver through the remaining mine life. Bisha’s reserves include the Bisha Main pit and the satellite Harena pit. The Bisha Main and an additional satellite deposit currently being drilled, the northwest zone, are both located within the 16.5 km2 mining license. Harena is on a second 7.5km2 mining license to the south.
