DIMENSIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • The Pre-Commissioning Manager takes accountability for directing and leading all pre-commissioning related activities for the project, meeting the schedule and budget by:
  • The development and implementation of a Pre-Commissioning Management Plan for the project ensuring alignment with the other elements incorporated in the master project schedule (e.g. Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Pre-commissioning and Production).
  • Define pre-commissioning systems that will support the overall pre-commissioning plan and progressive handover of completed systems to
  • Day-to day management of all dry and wet pre-commissioning activities and formal hand-over from Construction to Operations

JOB DUTIES

  • Staff and manage Pre-commissioning Team (i.e. guide and functionally supervise pre-commissioning procedures).
  • Develop, monitor/maintain Pre-Commissioning Plan schedule and procedures aligned with Procurement, Construction and Production
  • As part of the Pre-Commissioning Management Team - clarify roles and coordinate responsibilities between Owner's team, vendor representatives and external contractors. This should include any legal and professional accountability - specifically those related to safety and performance (in line with contract conditions).
  • Maintain management of change of design and documentation of approved
  • Verify compliance of construction work and installations with design specifications regulations and s requirements with respect to readiness of pre-commissioning prior to
  • Complete design documentation package as-builts to ensure plant operations are able to commence hot
  • Transfer the knowledge and skills accumulated during construction and equipment installation from the contractors to the plant
  • Report Pre-commissioning
  • Ensure effective internal and external communication of related matters within the area of authorities and
  • Ensure compliance with relevant HSE policies, procedures and regulations and the commitment to achieving Zero Harm through safe
  • Ensure compliance with relevant HR policies, procedures, objectives and regulations within the pre- commissioning team.
  • Establish necessary processes and communication lines (including approvals) for changes to update the Pre-commissioning
  • Once pre-commissioning and wet pre-commissioning is complete then the Pre-Commissioning Manager may support Operations in their ramp up to full

WORKING CONDITIONS/REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Maintain both personal action and speech in a professional
  • Working schedule: FIFO: 6 working weeks/2 weeks off or 10 working days/4 days off

REQUIRED TECHNICAL SKILLS, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction, Minerals Processing, Chemical Engineering or similar
  • 15 years of relevant experience
  • Construction, Engineering, Project Management environment
  • Pre-commissioning management experience

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Large mineral processing SAG/Ball Mill and Flotation experience
  • Fluent verbal and written English
  • MS Office and Planning Tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project Planner
  • Knowledge of SCADA
