ABOUT OUR OPERATION:

[C]Agnico Eagle[/C] is always looking for new talented team members to join our Nunavut mining operations. Meliadine is located just northwest of Rankin Inlet, a small coastal town on the shores of Hudson Bay. Commercial production began at Meliadine in mid-May 2019 and the mine officially opened at the end of June. This mine is our largest gold deposit in terms of mineral resources and we expect to operate it for at least 14 years. The site features a power plant and processing facilities, as well as a complete camp complex.

YOUR NEXT CHALLENGE:

Reporting to the Process Plant Maintenance Supervisor, the Millwright is part of the Process Plant Department and collaborates with other teams such as Operations, Metallurgy and Site Services. He/she will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved, while promoting and respecting [C]Agnico Eagle[/C]'s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
  • Perform corrective and preventive maintenance (troubleshooting, inspections, repairs, etc.) on all the process plant equipment, meeting any maintenance needs;
  • Ensure that all equipment are de-energized and locked before commencing work;
  • Evaluate requirements for the assigned work and ensure that they are complete: tools, procedures, materials, etc.;
  • Maintain a clean working area: clean and store safely tools used for the work and return unused materials to the warehouse;
  • Fill out and manually close Work Orders;
  • Apply the best Millwright practices in the everyday job;
  • Follow up on personal training requirements to ensure all is up to date;
  • Advise the supervisor of any cost control issues.
