The mining industry has always struggled with getting cost estimation right. Cost over-runs and project surprises are all too commonplace. In an environment driven by unprecedented pressures for profitable growth, there is a better, more accurate way to estimate project costs.

For over 35 years we have been the leaders in mine cost estimating and advisory services. CostMine is a subsidiary of the Glacier Resource Innovation Group with offices in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary, Spokane, and London.

Key Accountabilities

  • Sales for our core Mining Cost reports, data and software services
  • Business development and project delivery of mining cost estimation consulting projects
  • Create a territory plan that includes maintaining and serving current clients while identifying new opportunities and the means by which to target those clients
  • Generate leads through cold calling, email, and online outreach
  • Respond promptly to client inquiries and address any client issues to maintain a high degree of client satisfaction
  • End-to-end account management – from initial contact through fulfillment of the services to final collection
  • Maintain up-to-date customer records in accordance with company policy and practices

Qualifications and Education

  • Knowledge of the mining industry and mining capital project cost estimation
  • Degree in engineering, geology, geophysics, or related field
  • High-degree of integrity and professionalism
  • Knowledge of sales methodologies and tools, including the use of CRM systems
  • Excellent interpersonal, presentation and remote communication skills. Able to build relationships with technically oriented customers.
  • Good personal organization and time management skills
  • Motivated, self-disciplined, personable and enthusiastic about the company’s products
  • Experience with an inside sales environment (i.e., telephone, email, online and social media channels) would be an asset
  • Experience in software and data sales would be an asset
