Position Description:

The Phoenix Mine is looking for a Surface Mobile Maintenance Welder to join the Surface Mobile Maintenance Team.

Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Surface Mobile Maintenance Supervisor, the Surface Mobile Maintenance Welder is responsible for the following:

• Perform mechanical repairs, installations, inspections and preventative maintenance of machinery and equipment.
• Competent in bed/bucket repair
• Competent in wear iron replacement
• Leads the job in bed/bucket swaps
• Maintains welding certification

Qualifications:

• Must have 2 years journeyman level mill/mine maintenance experience in a mining environment (or equivalent).Ability to read and understand schematics of mobile equipment required
• Strong problem-solving skills required
• Proven excellent safety and attendance record required
• Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment preferred
• Demonstrated ability to perform the essential functions of the job required
