Candu Energy Inc. is looking to fill a full time regular position as a "Fuel Channel Engineer" at their Mississauga location and here are some of the duties this individual will be responsible for:

Job Responsibilities
  • Design CANDU fuel channel components
  • Perform engineering calculations of fuel channel components
  • Determine component tolerances
  • Prepare formal technical reports
  • Perform review of design documents, calculations and drawings
  • Provide engineering support during procurement
  • Provide engineering support during manufacturing and installation
  • Prepare engineering budgets and proposals
  • Prepare quality deliverables within budget and schedule


Qualifications
  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering from a university of recognized standing:
    • PhD, or
    • Master’s Degree and a minimum of three years of relevant industrial experience, or
    • Bachelor’s Degree plus five years of relevant industrial experience
  • Licensed or eligible to license as Professional Engineer in the Province of Ontario
  • Team player
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Proven written and oral communication skills
  • Experienced in the application of GD&T
  • Proven aptitude for continuous learning by own initiative
  • Experience in FEA structural analysis using ANSYS/DYNA/ABAQUS is a preferred
