We are seeking a Associate Arctic Engineer.
Description of Responsibilities:
We are seeking an Arctic Engineer specializing in onshore or shallow marine infrastructure to provide business development opportunities, consulting assistance and independent advice as an extension of our Alaska team located in Eagle River, AK. This individual will function as an independent contractor.
The successful individual will assist with business development and technical review in addition to providing leadership opportunities in Arctic Engineering and complement existing Arctic experience and knowledge. The primary goal of this opportunity is to build new capacity and experience on the North Slope of Alaska, or in similar Arctic regions.

This position involves working in multi-disciplinary teams on a range of projects and may include international travel.

Essential Requirements:
- Bachelor`s degree or higher in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering with arctic emphasis or similar cold regions experience;
- Minimum of twenty (20) years of experience in the following:
- Knowledge of arctic infrastructure challenges and experience in design solutions
- Extensive experience with oil & gas mineral development in cold regions
- Experience or exposure with transportation methods in and around cold region sites
- Infrastructure design in permafrost environments
- Be a licensed professional engineer in the state of Alaska, or have ability to obtain certification within six (6) months
- Demonstrated leadership and team-work capabilities;
- Ability to network for the purpose of creating and maintaining client relationships and generating new business;
- Ability to interface with clients to lead and manage projects (on schedule and on budget);
- Exposure or experience with oil and gas, and/or mining industryin Alaska.
