As the successful candidate, you will:
  • Develop new clientele and business in FERC/NEPA-regulated sectors and ensure continual division growth and profitability; 
  • Manage and assist with all aspects of FERC/NEPA projects.  Project tasks may include: 
  • Prepare responses to requests for proposals for FERC/NEPA projects; 
  • Preparing FERC Resource Reports and NEPA documentation; 
  • Capitalize on existing Hatch client relationships and energy/power project experience to expand services in existing and new operational regions; this will involve working with other Hatch discipline leaders to develop cross-selling strategies and initiatives; 
  • Hire, develop and mentor new personnel to support permitting personnel growth throughout the US; and, 
  • Develop, maintain, and report on the division’s business plan and performance.


You bring to the role:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Planning, Natural Resources, or related environmental field. Master’s Degree preferred;
  • Minimum 15 years of experience working on hydroelectric projects; thermal projects and electricity transmission project experience a plus;
  • Expert knowledge of FERC's environmental regulations for hydropowwer facilities;
  • Successful experience in developing and managing FERC/NEPA-regulated projects;
  • Respected and known expert in the marketplace;
  • Strong, proven client development and client management abilities.
