Description

With limited supervision, monitors Primary crushing circuit through constant monitoring. Intervenes and troubleshoots based from alarms for a proactive and predictive approach. The goal is achieving higher equipment availability, lowering maintenance costs. Collaborating with operations and maintenance groups about data analysis to increase the knowledge base around alarms. As a member of the Remote Asset Monitoring Process (RAMP) team, assists in the development of advanced diagnostic tools.

  • Collect and analyze data using predictive technologies, make recommendations to Maintenance and Operations divisions; intervenes through submitting work orders as necessary
  • Collaborate with on-site operations, maintenance and RCM employees
  • Catalog corrective interventions for sharing (knowledge based)
  • Perform other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Four (4) years of experience in a mechanical field
  • Working knowledge and understanding of basic mechanical principles (hydraulic, pneumatic, fluid mechanical systems)
  • Skill in utilizing computer databases to research, maintain, and update records and files
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
  • Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions
  • Skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazard

Preferred

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Experience with Processing Maintenance Systems
  • Able to create work orders and order parts using current systems (SAP)
  • Hands-on maintenance experience with Processing equipment
  • Able to operate the Dispatch Database
  • Radio communication skills (2-Way)
  • Experience with computer systems

Criteria/Conditions

  • Ability to understand and apply verbal and written work and safety-related instructions and procedures in English
  • Ability to communicate in English with respect to job assignments, job procedures, and applicable safety standards
  • Must be able to work in a potentially stressful environment
  • Work is performed in a mine or manufacturing plant setting, which may include exposure to extremes in temperature and humidity, moving mechanical parts, risk of electrical shock, toxic chemicals, explosives, fumes or airborne particles
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs and ladders, and work on elevated platforms
  • Occasionally may be required to lift moderately heavy objects (up to 30 pounds) during the workday
  • Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in a mine, outdoor, manufacturing or plant environment, including hard hat, hearing protection, safety glasses, safety footwear, and as needed, respirator, rubber steel-toe boots, protective clothing, gloves and any other protective equipment as required
