Environmental Coordinator

Battle North Gold Corporation is an advanced exploration company that owns the Bateman Gold Project, located in the prolific Red Lake gold district in northwestern Ontario, Canada. Battle North Gold controls over 280 square kilometres of prime exploration ground in Red Lake.

Battle North Gold is currently seeking an Environmental Coordinator at the Bateman Gold Project. The ideal candidate will live or relocate to Red Lake, ON and possess the following:

Academic Requirements and Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent degree in biology or the environmental sciences; 
• A minimum of three years’ experience at a working mine or exploration property is preferred;
• Previous employment at a facility where multi-disciplinary monitoring is required will be considered an asset.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

• Candidate should have knowledge of the basic provincial and federal permitting requirements for a mining property (e.g. ECA, MMER);
• The position requires physical activities (e.g. water sampling, dam inspecting, etc.) on a weekly basis;
• The candidate should be able to delegate and manage tasks with the environmental technician;
• Can communicate effectively with the public and senior management on environmental issues at the site.
