Senior Contracts Administrator

Barrick is looking for a Senior Contracts Administrator to join the Expansion Project team. The Senior Contracts Administrator will provide efficient & effective Contract Administration professional services to the Expansion project, ensuring all processes and cost & schedule deliverables are met in accordance with the project execution plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Formation, administration and close out of Construction & Services Contracts.
  • Direction & supervision of other Contracts Administrators on deliverables, accountability and conformance with the approved policies, standards, procedures and processes.
  • Provide required reporting to monitor performance and be accountable for team deliverables.
  • Interface with Project Controls team on cost allocation, trend management & addressing schedule deviation.
  • To be pro-active in all aspects of operational safety, efficient utilisation of the resources and encourage teamwork across the project.
  • Develop and maintain professional relationships with internal customers, contractors and external suppliers.
  • Identify potential savings opportunities and take appropriate action to release opportunities.
  • Monitor employee performance to ensure optimum performance and initiate appropriate action to remedy any substandard employee performance or behaviour.
  • Provide training, supervision and direction to subordinates in the application and execution of acceptable practices.


  • Qualifications:
    • Higher Education Qualification in Business, Law or related field.
    • Bilingual English & Spanish with professional proficiency
    • Oracle, SAP & Ariba system or similar ERP
    • Minimum ten (10) years' work experience as Contracts Administrator.
    • Minimum ten (10) years' experience in major capital projects, specifically procurement, logistics and contracts management.
    • Experience in Law is advantages.
    • Experience in a role that requires coordination of multiple processes or sites.
    • Mining experience is essential, process plant construction preferable.
    • Basic knowledge on tax requirements.
    • Management and Leadership skills
