Senior Advisor - Human Resources

Globe 24-7 in partnership with Newcrest Mining, is working together to source two experienced and qualified talent to join their Asset Reliability Team at their Lihir Gold Operations (LGO).

The Role

We are seeking an experienced and qualified Senior HR Advisor to lead a very fast-paced departmental HR operations team to deliver effective HR services to support the client group.

Reporting to the Superintendent HR Operations, you will be responsible for providing best-practice Human Resources to ensure the department stays progressive and proactive in its employee relations and day-to-day people management. You will also be accountable for the development and implementation of an annual departmental people plan to ensure achievement of departmental objectives.

The Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, or other relevant tertiary-level qualification is essential.
  • Accreditation from the PNG Human Resources Institute desirable.
  • 5 - 7+ years of relevant work experience essential.
  • Thorough understanding of PNG employment law and related legislation.
  • Good understanding of the total HR value chain.
  • Strong advisory experience and capability of working independently.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP is desirable.
  • Intermediate Excel
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and public speaking skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & negotiations.
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office suite and SAP or similar

  • A current PNG, Australian or New Zealand Drivers Licence
