WesTrac is looking at another hugely successful year in 2020 with upcoming major projects in the pipeline. As a result of this recent growth, we have a permanent 6 month fixed term opportunity (with the potential for extension) for a Plant Mechanic to join our New Machines Department in South Guildford. Roster will be Monday to Friday, 10.5 hour days (inclusive of a 30 minute unpaid meal break) with potential overtime during busy periods.
Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, the Plant Mechanic is responsible for assembling & delivering high quality new machine trucks to our customer base, ensuring optimum safety and efficiency throughout the entire build process.

To be successful the following is required:
- Mechanical Trade Qualification
- Current Forklift Licence & Working at Heights Tickets desirable
- Current Drivers Licence (HR Desirable)
- Experience working with a range of Heavy Mobile Equipment
- Caterpillar product knowledge highly regarded
- Demonstrated strong written and verbal communication skills
- Dedicated commitment to Safety & Quality Assurance
- Ability to work within a team & autonomously
- Dedicated to fulfilling internal and external customer requirements
