Position Description:

Nevada Gold Mines is looking for an Underground Trainee (Tech 2) to join the Underground Operations team.

Responsibilities:

Safely operate various pieces of hand, powered or mobile equipment to meet site production goals.

Qualifications:

• Comply with Loss Control (HSLP), Environmental, and NGM policies and procedures.

• Comply with state and federal health and safety regulations.

• Attend new miner Core Skills training.

• Safely operate utility vehicles, underground haul truck, underground light vehicles, front end loader, forklift, and water truck, including preop inspections.

• Manual scaling.

• Demonstrate knowledge of UG layout and level.

• Conduct surface site specific training.

• Assist with preparation of all underground tours.

• Maintain locker and basket roster

• Conduct maintenance on underground lamps.

• Clean the dry room and hoist house as required.

• Perform inventory count.

• Use Ellipse to process requisitions and pick tickets and to perform all required documentation accurately and proficiently.

• Perform warehouse runs and deliver materials underground.

• Unload delivery trucks, safely using proper techniques and equipment.

• General labor duties on surface for underground department.
