We have an exciting opportunity for experienced Build Technicians to join us in New Plymouth.

In this role, your daily duties will be a variety of physical activities including cable hauling/ jointing, digging, backfilling, fibre optic cable handling (moving / laying into trench) and reinstating. You will also be expected to have the ability to move into different areas of the business including working in the fault space working with both copper and fibre cable faults.

To be successful in this role we are looking for someone with the following attributes:

• An energetic personality and enthusiastic approach to work
• Must be physically fit, punctual, reliable, responsible and self-motivated
• Must have the ability of working at heights
• Class 2 Driver's license will be of high advantage
• Able to work under pressure and to deadlines
• Have the ability to take and follow directions
• Enjoy working as part of a team, but equally you can work independently
• Be willing to travel when required and be willing to work overtime when asked
• Level 3 Telecommunications qualification would be advantageous but on job training will be provided.
