TRS Staffing is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator for a long-term contract opportunity. This position will oversee and plan all aspects of purchasing from pre-bid to closeout.
Duties / Responsibilities:
• Plan and oversee all aspects of contracting from pre-bid to closeout
o Establish and manage contracting and contract management policies, procedures, and instructions in-line with corporate guidelines
o Represent company in contract negotiations, formulating policies with suppliers,
o Consult with corporate attorneys and senior management to minimize project and corporate risk while maintaining commercial competitiveness
• Execute contracting activities
o Collaborate with internal and external counsel, senior management, and technical teams to establish contracts that minimize project and corporate risk while maintaining commercial competitiveness
o Identify and provide leadership in the evaluation and qualification of vendor materials and equipment, subcontractors, and professional service providers
o Gathers and maintains information to analyze market and delivery systems to assess present and future material availability
• Manage contracts for materials and goods
o Coordinates activities of personnel engaged in buying and/or estimating materials, equipment, contract and professional services
o Maintains records of goods ordered and received and deviations from contractual terms
o Prepares and issues or receives and manages all contract-related formal communications with vendors / suppliers
o Provides recommendations to the Project team to resolve grievances, and claims
o Ensures purchase orders or contractor claims and contracts conform to company policy and contractual terms
o Oversees the development and review of all procurement analytics and reporting (such as financial projections, expediting action plans, delivery schedules and project purchasing reporting)
o Performs other functions or duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in construction management, business, engineering, supply chain management or equivalent degree, Certified Purchasing Manager preferred
• 10 years of experience in the contracts management role on projects larger than $100M
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Effective at negotiation and conflict resolution
• Self-starter, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks effectively and meet tight deadlines
• Excellent team player, strong ability to establish and maintain good working relationships with employees and members of management
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) with general knowledge of database utilization. Oracle experience is a plus
