The Transport Services division here at Downer has a great track record for delivering a high standard of work in Palmerston North. We are looking for an energetic and motivated individual interested in becoming part of the crew as Driver Operators.

About the role:

In this role you'll be working in a fun and welcoming crew operating our Graders and Excavators as we carry out work on our contracts. As a Driver Operator you will be working on roads, cutting drainage, trimming and mentoring your crew members as they get ready to take the next step in their career. If you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days outdoors and on your feet, this could be the position for you.

This is a Monday to Friday role with potential for overtime work on weekends.

About you:

Along with your positive attitude and your commitment to safe work practises there are a few other essentials, but don't stress too much if you don't tick them all off, we are prepared to train you.

• You will hold a Class 2 full New Zealand driver's licence with WTR endorsements
• A proven track record of operating a grader and/or excavator
• Ability to work hands-on and unsupervised

You will have a positive sense of humour with the eagerness to come and get your hands dirty.
