Mining Engineer - Planning (Long Term)

We are offering the opportunity for a Mining Engineer to join the Technical Services Team in the long term planning department.

This integral role will see you being responsible for providing input to the:
  • business plan design, scheduling, concepts, and infrastructure design
  • development of the life of mine cost model and block cost model
  • cost estimates of the business plan
  • pre-feasibility of key mining blocks
  • development of project proposals

You will work collaboratively with other departments such as geology, survey and geotechnical to ensure your plans and designs have all the data input you need. In every task safety will be paramount, and play an essential role in your planning and designs. A strong and clear communication style will be necessary to be able to effectively deal with a number of stakeholders in the business.

A degree in Mining Engineering is imperative. Experience in underground hardrock mining is highly desirable, along with being able to competently use mining software packages(we use Deswik and Minesight).
