About the role

We have ongoing opportunities for Electrical Maintainers who are interested in joining our Port Maintenance Electrical Team at Dampier Ports - Parker Point and East Intercourse Island. The purpose of these roles will be to provide safe and efficient electrical maintenance, repairs and fault finding to our assets across both ports.

Working a residential shift rotational 5:4 / 5:5 / 4:5 roster and reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, you will be required to:
  • Safely execute electrical maintenance across both Parker Point and EII
  • Maintain statutory electrical inspections and records as required by MSIR
  • Complete fault finding and repairs of electrical systems and equipment
  • Complete Inspections to identify faults and raise quality notifications in SAP for repairs
  • Isolate equipment for maintenance requirements
  • Complete quality handovers with oncoming crews and other maintenance teams including contractors across both ports as required

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • An Electrical trade certification and WA A-grade Electrical License
  • A Manual C-class Australian Drivers Licence
  • A current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or the willingness to obtain one
  • A HV Operator ticket
  • Port maintenance experience
  • Competency with the use of SAP, Raising Quality Notifications and PLC systems
  • A passion for safe execution of work
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise multiple tasks

Where you will be working

Our port facilities consist of three shipping terminals located on the Pilbara coast at Dampier and Cape Lambert, which form an essential part of our logistics process. Each terminal has facilities for train unloading, iron ore stockpiling, product blending and ship loading. Karratha is located just off the North West Coastal Highway, 1535 kilometres north of Perth and 240 kilometres south of Port Hedland. Karratha is a city in the Pilbara region of Western Australia, adjoining the port of Dampier. With a bustling city center, Karratha's recent reinvention will surprise you with it's hip restaurants and modern facilities, but best of all Karratha's location means it is surrounded by iconic natural attractions.
