About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Mine Production Engineer to join our dynamic mining operations team at Paraburdoo. With cutting edge technology at your fingertips and support of the brightest minds in the industry you will develop, lead and manage productivity and cost improvement initiatives for the site, so as to ensure the mine plan is achieved.

This role is a great opportunity to further your knowledge of all functions within the operations space and play a key role in delivering the production engineering and project engineering activities for the mining operations.

Reporting to the Senior Production Engineer, you will:
  • Provide support to the operations team to meet business objectives
  • Work closely with the production engineering team for the delivery of on-going projects and productivity studies
  • Provide key feedback loops to the fleet planning and operations control teams
  • Manage the bench planning process
  • Develop practical solutions and contingency options to achieve the operations goals
  • Support the operational teams with continuous improvement initiatives

About you

With tertiary qualifications in Mining/ Civil/ Mechanical Engineering or equivalent, you will have demonstrated experience within a large open pit mining environment. You will be someone who thrives on a challenge, can think outside of the box and have a good understanding of the fundamental concepts that underpin value in the mining industry.

Sound computer skills, in particular MS office suite will be beneficial, and experience with 3D design software such as Vulcan and Surpac will further ensure your success in this role. You will have the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of operational and corporate business partners and a 'C' class driver's licence will also be required.

This position is based at Paraburdoo, with the choice of either residential or FIFO arrangements to suit your lifestyle. Paraburdoo is known as one of the most attractive towns in the Pilbara with a Primary school, hospital, high standard of recreation facilities and is close to the Karijini national park.
