About the role


We are seeking an engaging, safety focused Long-Term Planner Fixed Plant to join our Asset Management & Engineering Services (AMES) team, to support the Tom Price Iron Ore operations.

As the successful candidate you will deliver and continually improve accurate long-term plans, including budgets and forecasts, aligned to the specified asset class/area of responsibility maintenance strategies and relevant business plans.

Your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence will prove valuable to the effectiveness of this role; as you will be preparing and presenting the long term maintenance plans and budgets to the operational leadership team.

Reporting to the AMES Superintendent for Tom Price, you will:
  • Actively engage and influence the wider maintenance and operations teams to improve the site's safety, cost and production outcomes whilst ensuring longer term reliability and integrity
  • Widely engage and interface at a site level with supervisors and superintendents
  • Collaborate and partner with our extensive supporting functions to ensure best practice in planning & scheduling
  • Create long term maintenance forecast/projection for each asset life cycle strategy by using tactics to align major tasks with identified scheduled loss periods
  • Coordinate the maintenance budget process (ZBB) and deliver accurate long term plans/ forecasts and reliability improvement plans
  • Complete major maintenance analysis
  • Actively contribute to the team's development whilst utilising the RTIO asset management excellence development programs

About you

To succeed in this role, you will:
  • Be an engaging team member who can influence, coach and motivate both your immediate team but also your wider stakeholder group
  • Be resilient, proactive and pragmatic with the ability to drive progress and change within a dynamic environment
  • Process driven with an ability to learn.
  • A sound understanding of planning and scheduling with a solid understanding of maintenance work management, reliability and maintenance budgeting and cost control would be advantageous
