Join our collaborative team, working side by side with a global specialist chemicals company on a new and innovative project in the growing Lithium resources market to design, engineer and construct a world class processing facility. We have a diverse range of opportunities within our Perth office and further positions in the South West.

The greenfield project targeted to go into production in 2021 will produce Lithium Hydroxide Monohydrate from a 2 train processing plant with a forecasted 40,000 per annum (Tpa) output. Further expansion plans into 2025 will see a total production of 100,000 tonnes per annum. The plant is to be constructed at the Kemerton Strategic Industrial Area approximately 160 km south of Perth, Western Australia and 17 km north-east of the thriving regional centre of Bunbury.

This role will be responsible for the c oordination of materials and equipment from Engineering through the Procurement cycle to receipt at Site and issue to the construction contractor for Front and Back End construction activities. The function is also responsible for tracking materials at off-site consolidation points.

Position Specifics / Deliverables
  • Work with the Project Manager and Engineering to review Engineering Equipment Lists and Materials Take Offs / requisitions/ order requirements to ensure all Project requirements contained within the Equipment Masters and Bulk materials lists are entered into the Supply Chain for supply.
  • Direct the Materials Management function to ensure the Project procured tagged equipment, and that materials are delivered to construction sites and issued to installation personnel, in a timely and cost-efficient manner to support construction activities.
  • Ensure the work is executed in accordance with project procedures.
  • Ensure Convero is updated and fully operational on all project materials.
  • Assist the Materials Control Manager and Material Co-Ordinator to manage the Materials Control activities and personnel on a day to day basis, interfacing with Engineering, Construction and Purchasing.
  • Provide daily Material updates to Construction Management for both front and back end construction activities.
  • Ongoing commitment to zero harm through the support of HS & E procedures, initiatives, programmes and protocols


Skills / Qualifications

  • 7+ Years experience in Materials Management
  • Sound knowledge of interface with Engineering and Construction related to Material Take Off, Requisitions and Required On Site Date
  • Experience in SCM process flows from MTO or requisition thru to issue within a Project Execution Site environment
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills for liaising with internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work under pressure to fixed timelines and on own initiative
  • Experience in the use of materials handling equipment including rigging to ensure safe handling and safe guard the integrity of the materials and equipment on project sites
  • Leadership of Material Management Blue Collar teams.
  • Experience in managing total process for OS&D resolution.
