The Construction Superintendent will provide on-site coordination for all phases of construction projects, including coordinating subcontractors, manpower, material and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being strictly followed, and work is proceeding on schedule and within budget. The Construction Superintendent shall be responsible for scheduling, job cost, inspections, quality control, and job site safety.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Lead and manage the on-site construction team

Assure project is completed on time and within budget

Coordinate and oversee all work on site

Attend project management meetings

Coordinate required inspections with local jurisdictions

Maintain daily log of activities on the jobsite

Perform Superintendent duties at multiple job sites, simultaneously

Assist in budgeting, bidding, and award of subcontracts

Assist in obtaining permits or approval of revisions

Place orders for materials, and be responsible for equipment and materials on site

Monitor and ensure on-site safety compliance, cleanliness and orderliness
Qualification/requirements:
5 years' experience as a Construction Superintendent in heavy civil or transportation preferred.

Mathematical skills including weights and measures conversions

Excellent communication skills - oral and written

Computer skills - Microsoft office and construction applications such as HCSS HeavyBid andHCSS HeavyJob

Must be able to regularly sit, stand, walk in varying and uneven terrain; occasionally lift and move up objects up to 50 pounds.
