Job Summary
Provide preventive and corrective maintenance to Crusher and associated equipment in support of mining operations.
Responsibilities
•Perform daily equipment walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
•Safely and properly perform preventive and corrective maintenance including lubricating, fueling and cleaning on loader, crusher, screen, pumps and /or wash plant, etc.
o Perform screen changes and routine maintenance
•Operate loader, crusher, screens and track mounted radial stacker in a safe manner in accordance with prescribed operational procedures
•Welding, cutting torch and grinding
•Thorough knowledge of the load bearing capabilities of the equipment
•Ability to work with blueprints, drawings and technical instructions
•Shovel excess material away from crusher, screen or conveyors as needed
•May conduct quality control sample testing
•Communicate verbally and in writing in an effective manner.
o Must be able to speak, comprehend, read and write the English language
•Ability to work in high-stress situations
•Must be self-motivated and a team player with good interpersonal skills
•Troubleshoot and problem solves issues/problems with material quality, equipment, operations, repairs, etc.
•Monitor and discuss production issues with co-workers and leadership
•Handling multiple projects and priorities while meeting tight deadlines
•Accurately completes crushing reports and other documentation as required
•Ensure compliance with MSHA and all safety and environmental regulations/policies
•Operate skid-steer to clean up around equipment
•Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
Requirements
•Promote a safe work environment for yourself, other employees and contractor personnel.
•Must be able to stand for long periods
•Must be able to lift 50 lbs. with and without assistance on a frequent basis
•Must meet minimum tool requirements
•Willingness to assist elsewhere on the mine site when needed such as the crushing crew, leach crew, etc.
•Must be willing to train new/inexperienced employees
•Valid Driver's License
