BASIC POSITION FUNCTION
: Provide hands on electrical and instrumentation technical support for the Mine including the ADR and crushing plant in a safe, efficient and environmentally sensitive manner. Applicants will be expected to work overtime as required and call-outs when necessary.

RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES:

•Maintain electrical equipment and instrumentation across the site.

•Work closely with ADR supervision, ADR and crushing plant operators and maintenance technicians to maximize reliability of the equipment and minimize production downtime.

•Generates written procedures to complete routine E & I tasks

•Write and adapt calibrations and preventative procedures.

•Perform advance troubleshooting of instrumentation.

•Perform transformer/switch gear/motor control repairs.

•Perform preventative maintenance - troubleshooting, plant process and flow, transformers, switchgear, and MCCs.

•Assist in mechanical repairs as needed.

•Operate equipment such as telehandler, manlift, skid steer, backhoe, etc.

•Supporting two-way radio communications.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Must have at least five years of experience in the operation and maintenance of electrical, electronic and instrumentation equipment used in the Mining industry. Possess a working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, instrumentation and process control. Knowledge of Allen Bradley equipment and programming a plus. Be a self-starter with strong mechanical and electrical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Finally the ability to complete work tasks under various adverse weather conditions with minimal supervision. Current MSHA 5000-23 certificate of training preferred.
