About the role
We are looking for a Senior Training Officer to train RBM in all aspects of HSE requirements as required by legislators, shareholders and other stakeholders to be Compliant and competent. To all review all HSE training modules and align them with latest industry, Rio Tinto and legal requirements.
Reporting to the Manager: Health & Safety, you will:
- Conduct training needs analyses, analyse results and presents findings and suggestions.
- Compile annual training plan for the RBM and obtain commitment from all stakeholders and align it with RBM business plan.
- Design training programmes to meet specific identified training needs in accordance with training plans.
- Ensure that all training requirements are delivered as per the training plan within agreed deadlines and budgets.
- Ensure that coaches are trained, competent and assess trainees according to the company guideline
- Ensure that a records system are maintained by the training coordinator.
- Develop a reporting system to monitor and maintain compliance with applicable HSE training standards and regulations. Analyse and report on the effectiveness of various training and development interventions and provide recommendations.
- Supervise and control the activities, standards of performance and behaviour of designated support staff.
- Provide guidance and leadership to enable team to carry out tasks safely and professionally.
- Ensure that staff training and development needs are identified and technical skills imparted to facilitate optimal functioning.
About you
To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
- Degree Majoring in Training & Development, National Diploma in Safety Management
- Training: Qualified Assessor & Moderator, ETDP Lev 4
- Other Qualifications: (ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and / or OHSAS 18001 auditor) advantageous
- EB driver's license;
- 3 - 5 years' experience in HSE training management
- Exposure to industry and a mining environment
