The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technician Mechanical to join the Mobile Maintenance division. Reporting to the Mechanical Supervisor, you will provide mechanical fitting services, primarily with Caterpillar, identifying defects and consistently achieving reliability.
The Requirements
- 3 - 5 years of relevant work experience essential in heavy industry preferably within a mining environment; either through experience in a similar operation or through a progression as an NML Trainee Operator.
- Relevant experience in maintaining equipment in mobile fleet
- Mechanical Trade Certificate essential
- PNG National Driver's License desirable.
- Working at Heights, Elevated Work Platform, Overhead Gantry Crane, Forklift qualifications highly desirable
- Equipment testing and adjusting qualifications highly desirable
- Cat SiS & ET experience
- Engine & Powertrain Diagnostics
- Hydraulic Diagnostics
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work autonomously from time to time.
- High attention to detail with good time management skills.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Caterpillar, Terex, Hitachi, Sandvik & Epiroc Equipment & supporting systems
- Basic Auto electrical skills highly desirable
