Innovation and sustainability is afoot across our Lower North region and with our growth, we are seeking Project / Contract Managers to join our team. Regions where we have these opportunities are Hastings, Gisborne, Palmerston North, Dannevirke, Taranaki and Wellington. These are great roles for a driven individual looking to make their mark!

We have a wide range of contracts and projects where we can procure a full array of works, services and supply which means we go from major scale projects to small-scale projects. We work with civil projects, bridges, three waters, vegetation and a multitude of road maintenance activities in both urban and rural environments. You will be involved in the leading and mentoring our teams and assisting with the delivery on contract/project requirements, optimising resource use and achieving target results.

About the role
You will be producing project methodology, budgets and programmes, optimising resource use, all while leading and mentoring our teams. You will also be:
  • Working in conjunction with the Senior Management teams to estimate and tender for new projects
  • Overall responsibility for specific project implementation and delivery
  • Developing and fostering strong relationships with our client, subcontractors and suppliers

About you

You will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:
  • The ability to create and deliver a strong customer focus culture, and a collaborative approach to develop client relationships
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills
  • Proven track record in developing a culture that supports Health and Safety management, encouraging and rewarding excellence.
  • Proven successful Contract Management experience ideally within Road Maintenance, Utilities and/or Construction
  • Tertiary qualification, preferably in Business Management or Civil Engineering
