The Role
We are seeking an experienced Technical Specialist Mechanical to join the Mobile Maintenance division. Reporting to the Senior Specialist Ancillary Maintenance, you will provide guidance to and develop the local workforce skills and knowledge, You will also work with and provide on the job training for heavy equipment fitters maintaining a wide range of heavy earthmoving equipment.
The Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant work experience in mobile fleet maintenance in large scale mining operations essential.
- An extensive understanding of Cranes and Forklift
- Trade Certificate in Heavy Equipment Fitting or Mechanical Trade Certificate or Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate essential.
- Willing to obtain a PNG Driver's Licence - Class 6 essential.
- Elevated work platform, working at heights, forklift, overhead crane certifications advantageous.
- Previous experience in delivery and assessment of training desirable
- Proficient in English with excellent verbal, written communication and public speaking skills.
- Computer proficiency in MS Office suite.
- Sound planning, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work under pressure and autonomously.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management skills to meet deadlines.
- Strong active listening & interpersonal skills for rapport building, conflict resolution & training.
