About the Role

WorkPac are currently seeking experienced Heavy Duty Fitters for ongoing FIFO roles at Rio Tinto's Hope Downs 1 and 4 mine sites. Reporting to the sites Mobile Equipment Maintenance Supervisor, you will repair and conduct preventative maintenance, fault diagnostics and breakdown repairs on mobile fleet out in the field and workshop. You will also inspect and determine equipment condition and assess its suitability to return to service. The fleet of heavy mobile equipment of which you will need to have experience on are;

• 730E, 830E, 930E Komatsu Dump Trucks
  
• 793 Cat Dump Trucks
  
• Cat 992, 994 Loaders
  
• Komatsu WA900, WA1200 Loaders
  
• Cat 16, 24 Graders
  
• Cat D10, D11 Dozers
  
• Hitachi 3600, 5500 Diggers
  
• Komatsu PC3000, PC4000 Diggers
  

Skills and Essential Attributes

• 3+ years recent Fitter experience in an Iron Ore Fixed Plant or similar
  
• Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate
  
• Current Australian 'C' class driver licence
  
• HR Drivers Licence (preferred)
  
• High Risk Licence - WP Class (preferred)
  
• Confined Space Certificate (preferred)
  
• Working at Heights Certificate (preferred)
