About the Role
An ongoing opportunity exists for experienced Mining Supervisors at Fortescue Metals Group mine site Cloudbreak.
Reporting to the Operations Mining Superintendent, you will form part of the production team and be responsible for all aspects of Load & Haul functions for operational mining. You will also be accountable for the planning, organising, supervision and control of personnel
As a key member of a high performing team, you will play an integral role in implementing our client's production requirements.
Skills and Experience
⢠Considerable experience in a similar role
⢠Experience in Autonomous Mining Systems is highly desirable
⢠Strong supervisory experience and leadership skills
⢠Strong communication skills both verbal and written
⢠Proven commitment to safety
⢠Computer proficiency in Microsoft office.
⢠Strong understanding of both production strategies for large scale Mining Operations
⢠Experienced in Frontline management
Key Accountabilities
⢠Supervise Mining operations and personnel to ensure safe and productive operations
⢠Conduct pit inspections
⢠Ensure compliance to skills training matrix for self and direct reports
⢠Provide coaching and development opportunities for direct reports
⢠Conducting field interactions and completing incident investigation in BMS
⢠Adherence to the daily and weekly production plans
⢠Ensure that Mining achieves or exceed budget fleet utilisation and safety performance
⢠Ensure all team activities are aligned with the overall business objectives
⢠Demonstrate strong safety values
