Otraco has a unique opportunity for a Site Supervisor to provide exceptional leadership at our Goonyella site based in Moranbah, Qld.

Your new role:

Reporting to the Area Manager, you will be accountable for leading your team to safely, efficiently and effectively deliver tyre management services in accordance with the site contract management plan and direction of the Area Manager. You will be responsible for providing visible leadership and setting the highest example for your team by complying with Otraco's (and the Client's) safe work procedures and policies as well as educating your team in the same.

Your key responsibilities will include (but not limited to) the following:
  • Prioritise and direct your team to perform tyre fitting and workshop maintenance tasks in the most safe, efficient and cost effective manner while always striving to minimise downtime on production equipment (in accordance with the contract management plan)
  • Set clear expectations of employees in relation to their duties, ensure all employees hold the appropriate qualifications and competencies and provide regular feedback on performance
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure services are performed on equipment specified under the agreed scope of works
  • Regularly monitor progress against set Key Performance Indicators (KPI's) to ensure Otraco is performing as expected
  • Provide recommendations to manage both on-site and off-site reconditioning of tyres and rims including repairs, re-treads and non-destructive testing
  • Provide assistance with end of month reporting by providing a written overview of site progress ie Rim NDT and Front Tyre Forecasting .
  • Identify haul road, pit locations and operator practices that lead to reduced tyre life and higher tyre usage and provide solutions to minimise these problems
  • Conduct training with key client representatives in tyre cost reduction techniques
  • Conduct supplier audits and assess products to ensure effective delivery of service to the client
  • Liaise and work with tyre manufacturers, suppliers and other OEM's to improve, wherever possible, the service provided to the client in relation to tyre management
  • Assist where required with the fitment and removal of wheel assemblies, tyres and rims to production and any other type of vehicle in accordance with relevant procedures
  • Ensure data entry for the tracking, analysing and managing all EM tyres, rims and tyre protection chains (where relevant) is completed by utilising the Otraco's electronic tyre database.
  • Actively promote a culture of Zero Harm, business improvement and innovation through the team

About you:
  • Demonstrated experience within the Earthmover tyre and mining industries.
  • Minimum of two years of supervisory experience in the earthmover industry.
  • RIISAM210D, RIISAM211D & RIIMPO208D or equivalent.
  • Current HLTAID003 Provide First Aid competency.
  • Current Work Safe/ High Risk Fork Lift licence.
  • A light vehicle driver's licence (Class C in Australia).

The following Qualifications & Experience are preferred but not essential:
  • AUR21913 Certificate II in Automotive Tyre Servicing Technology
  • Certificate IV in Assessment and Workplace training
  • Certificate IV in Frontline Management
  • HSE Leadership (S1,2,3 & G2)
  • Standard 11 (required for all QLD sites)
  • Computer literacy particularly with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
