About the job:

As a construction worker you'll be a part of a small collaborative team working together and depending on your skill set, no two days will look the same as we have a variety of work on offer. You could be working on bridges, retaining walls, road construction, 3 Waters works etc. You will spend your days operating a range of machinery including loaders, trucks, rollers, excavators, compactors and general labouring duties which can include concrete works, timber boxing and steel work. Essentially an all-rounder!

If you are physically fit and enjoy spending your days outdoors and on your feet, this could be the position for you. This is a Monday to Friday role, with occasional weekend work. Due to our varied nature of work and Central Otago / Southland combined construction division there will be some expectation of short term travel.

About you:

Along with a positive attitude and your commitment to safe worksite practises there are a few other essentials, but don't stress if you don't tick them all off, we are prepared to train you.
  • Class 2 Full New Zealand driver's licence (WTR endorsements are desirable)
  • Comfortable operating a range of machinery (training can be provided)
  • Experience operating in the civil construction industry
  • Ability to work hands-on and unsupervised as well as within a team
  • A track record of being able to communicate with others in a clear and confident manner
