Job Description:
Ensure all work is done in a safe and effective manner
Contribute to all phases of technology and automation project planning, including budgeting, project and cost controls
Effectively communicate & coordinate project implementation activities with other departments
Identify future technology projects and contribute to strategic decision making
Assist maintenance with troubleshooting and support of control systems, automation and communication networks
Continuously strive to maintain expert knowledge and skill related to new technologies
Maintain compliance with corporate, governmental and site policies, procedures and regulations
Interpret specifications, drawings and work order activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, CET Designation, or related field experience
2 - 10 years experience in an industrial setting (preferably mining)
Valid drivers license (Required)
Valid Underground Common Core (desirable)
Excellent organizational skills, including experience with project and cost controls
Experience with a centralized data interface, such as Wonder ware, PI, Ignition or Centric Mining Systems
Experience with P2P, TCP/IP, fiber network configuration and maintenance
Knowledge of HMI and dashboard design, PLC programming experience is an asset
Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project etc.)
A working knowledge of AutoCAD (able to modify/correct drawings)
A working knowledge of Delta V DCS systems, Allen Bradley PLC systems
Familiar with computerized maintenance systems such as 4 Site (Desirable)
Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and communication networks
