About the role

Take the next step in your maintenance career with this exciting role Fixed Plant Inspector (Equipment) within the Fixed Plant Maintenance Team at West Angelas. Working a FIFO from Perth/Broome roster (8 days on, 6 days off) and reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be required to:
  • Play a lead role in being the teams Subject Matter Expert (SME) in fixed plant maintenance
  • Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant equipment and determine repair action when required
  • Work closely with the engineering teams to identify and plan work orders
  • Ensure scheduled work is completed safely, efficiently and correctly
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
  • Identify, prioritise and execute defect elimination equipment improvement projects
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
  • Use your experience to look for improvement opportunities to benefit the Plant

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker Trade qualification with Fixed Plant experience
  • A Manual C Class Australian Drivers Licence essential
  • Current experience in an Iron Ore process plant
  • Excellent diagnostic fault-finding abilities
  • Extensive knowledge of high-pressure pumps, industrial drive gearboxes and Gyrator crushers (Replace with Sandvik Crushers)
  • Solid understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded
  • Strong communication skills

Located 110km west of Newman, West Angelas operates on a fly in fly out roster from Perth or Broome. Operational since 2002, it was the first site to be incorporated into our Mine of the Future™ programme, trialling autonomous trucks and drills that are now fully embedded into the operations.
