Maintenance Supervisor Concentrator & Tailings

About the role

We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor Concentrator & Tailings to be responsible for leading maintenance crews to coordinate shift activities safely and efficiently deliver production and maintenance targets. You will collaborate with Operations to ensure daily production targets are met or exceeded. This includes effectively executing planned and scheduled work as well as breakdown repairs to improve equipment availability and reliability.

This role is a great opportunity for an experienced Supervisor to join the highly collaborative community within the IOC Maintenance team.

Working on a Monday to Thursday schedule, and reporting to the Superintendent, you will:

· Ensure team members work safely and follow all safety standards and safe work practices

· Actively participate in IOC's safety program and role model appropriate safety behaviours (safety observations, group safety talks, planned general inspections, accident/incident investigations, etc.)

· Provide leadership in team building, planning, and establishing clear measures that keep everyone passionate about safety, results, and the customer.

· Arrange appropriate training for team members, review work performance and handle grievances at the primary stage

· Supervise, coordinate, and monitor the execution of scheduled work plans and unplanned emergency and breakdown work, determining the sequence based on work priority and availability of equipment and workforce

· Work closely with the maintenance planner to ensure planned jobs are within scope and provide feedback on work completed, work to be rescheduled, parts and materials. Provide relevant information for upcoming work plans.

· Provide good customer service, and maintain a continuous improvement focus, by working with stakeholders to resolve issues and recommend improvements to maintenance productivity and quality

· Prepare and enter data into various information systems (i.e. work order history, employee pay details, monthly reports, etc.)

· Develop and promote a positive employee relations environment within the department

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

· A strong safety mindset

· 5+ years of Supervisory experience in a production and/or maintenance role

· Experience engaging team members to carry-out safety protocols and procedures

· Computer literacy in MS Office applications

· Ability to comprehend maintenance Key Performance Indicators, and experience with work management execution.

· Excellent communication skills in English

· A High School diploma or equivalent

· Valid Driver's License

It will also be beneficial if you have:

· A trade qualification Millwright is preferred

· Supervisory experience in a unionized environment

· Proficiency in SAP
