• Perth based with campaign style exploration

On behalf of a fully funded, ASX listed gold and base metals explorer, we are seeking a driven and technically capable Senior Exploration Geologist to join this group as they focus on making a world class discoveries in a province currently yielding such orebodies. Led by a quality leadership team, with strong geological backgrounds, they are fully funded for the foreseeable future and free carried across significant JV agreements with major mining houses.
The position
Working closely with the Exploration Manager and MD, this is a pivotal role for the company as it embarks on a phase of increased exploration activity across their world class exploration tenure. This role will be split between field and office based exploration activities as you contribute input and management into exploration activities.
Duties will include, but are not limited to:
• Target generation of greenfields and brownfields exploration targets
• Designing and managing exploration drilling programs and required contractors
• Data acquisition programs including, mapping, geophysical, geochemical and structural datasets
• Interpretations and generation of geological cross sections.
• Assisting with technical report writing for senior management and ASX reporting requirements.
About you
You will be a passionate Senior Exploration Geologist, looking to assist this organisation as they vector in on making their own world class discovery.
Key requirements include:
• 8 years+ exploration experience with at least 3 years spent gold or intrusive related mineral systems.
• Prior experience within greenfields, brownfields and resource definition drilling programs
• Ability to work in head office and away in the field on a campaign style basis.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Demonstrable experience leading and managing highly effective exploration teams.
