Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, this role will assist the mechanics with transmission rebuilds, forklift operation, cleaning of parts and components checking for defects. This role will see you develop into a skilled Trades Assistant that can take your career to the next level.

The ideal applicant will have some exposure working and operating in a mechanical field environment with hands on experience utilising workshop tools. You will work within a team of experts with the knowledge and skills that can support you along the way. The roster is Mon-Fri, with alternating shifts (2 weeks dayshift / 2 weeks nightshift, 1 half Sat per month), 10 hours each day based at South Guildford.

The following skills and experience are required:
  • Trades Assistant experience within a similar environment – ideally Mechanical related
  • Forklift & Dogging ticket
  • Current WA Driver’s Licence
  • Good attention to detail and proactive
  • Passionate about the heavy mobile industry
  • Eager to learn and willingness to provide good service
  • Previous use of safety and risk assessment tools, such as Job Safety Analysis and Take 5's
