Title: Mining Engineer - Weekly Planning
Work locations: Pilbara Operations
Roster: FIFO from Perth, 8 days on / 6 days off.
Our Operations Planning team is currently recruiting mining engineer roles to support our new and existing sites. With new positions available across all mine planning horizons and disciplines, we are actively looking for our engineers and leaders of tomorrow. - Consistently apply all standards and regulations to permit mine planning and scheduling functions to deliver safe, dependable and positive mining outputs
- Continually drive for improvement and innovation across Fortescue's operations
- Initiate strong collaboration with your stakeholders (technical, mining, maintenance and corporate) to foster a strong family culture.
Desired qualifications and skills:
- Tertiary education in Mine Engineering (or similar)
- Experience in Open Pit mining operations, design, scheduling and planning
- Ability to communicate well at various corporate levels
- Desirable - Experience in a combination of Alastri products, Xact, Vulcan and Blastlogic
- Desirable - Quarry Managers ticket
- Desirable - Capability in programming languages.
