Downer's Infrastructure Projects division delivers multi-disciplined infrastructure solutions throughout New Zealand and the South Pacific, in the road, rail, renewable, water and civil sectors. We've had some great successes in the past couple of years and are currently delivering a number of major infrastructure projects which will change the face of Auckland and New Zealand - including the City Rail Link projects, America's Cup project, the Downtown Infrastructure Programme and the Christchurch Southern Motorway.
To respond to some exciting opportunities through 2020 and beyond, we now have a fantastic newly created part time opportunity (30 hours per week) for an experienced Communications and Marketing Manager to join our high performing team. With a healthy pipeline of high value opportunities, this is an exciting time for you to continue your learning and development, while using your existing skillset and experience in the communication and marketing space.
About the role:
This role will be based at our Parnell office and will work within the Infrastructure Projects business unit. The role will work closely with the Senior Leadership team and the National Communications & Brand team to deliver customised and engaging messages for both our internal and external audiences. The role will also be responsible for developing, implementing and driving communication strategies and initiatives that support a dynamic and innovative culture tailored to our project-led and customer-centric business.
About you: You will have a recognised tertiary qualification in Communications or Marketing with a minimum of 4 years communication experience. In addition, it is preferred you have experience using Microsoft Office applications as well as Adobe Creative Suite (particularly InDesign, Photoshop & Illustrator).
We are looking for an innovative and passionate individual who has a background in communications and marketing with a large multi-stakeholder organisation. As part of your experience, you should have strong leadership experience along with a high level of communication, interpersonal and organisational expertise. This is a varied and busy environment that requires high levels of motivation and relationship skills.
