Glencore Queensland Metals has an exciting opportunity for a Health and Safety Assurance Advisor. You will be an integral part of the HSEC Management Systems, Assurance and Reporting team and be responsible for providing effective monitoring, management and awareness of Health and Safety Legislation, Licensing and other Statutory obligations across the business. This position is residentially based in Mount Isa and has roster options that promote a healthy work-life balance

The Position
The successful candidate will be required to:
  • Manage, complete and submit NQ Licences, permits and annual returns by the due date
  • Manage assurance registers, assurance systems and documentation, including currency of all Statutory Appointments
  • Maintain the currency of the Mine Record Entries register and follow up outstanding actions as required
  • Contribute to the review and update of HSEC Management System documents
  • Advise on continuous improvement opportunities as they relate to H&S assurance function
  • Assist with delivery of weekly Safety communication


The successful candidates will have:
  • Certificate IV or Diploma in Workplace Health and Safety or relevant industry experience
  • Sound knowledge of regulatory processes and understanding of HSEC Management Systems
  • Ability to meet and set deadlines and prioritise activities, while maintaining 100% compliance
  • Demonstrated efficiency in using the Microsoft Suite, including SharePoint.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
