Title: HME Fire and Maintenance Technician

Work location: Solomon Ex Perth

Roster: 2/1 Roster 7D7N7RNR

Working with a diverse team reporting to the maintenance Services Supervisor, your role will be required to maintain all the HME fire suppression systems, both in a planned and breakdown scenario. All works will be required to comply with Fortescue's safe working practices and to industry standards. In addition, you will be required to perform additional trades assistant type tasks within the Mobile maintenance department.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Install and Maintain all the HME fire suppression systems
  • Diagnose and repair system defects
  • Provide documentation of all system defects and repair methods carried out
  • Raise notifications to assist with system maintenance
  • Complete trade assistant type tasks within workshop infrastructure compliance/maintenance

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • Experience installing, diagnosing, and repairing Fire Suppression systems (eg rise of pressure & loss of pressure systems)
  • Sound knowledge of different Fire Suppression systems -ie Muster, Striker, Fogmaker, Worlmald & FSI
  • Fire Suppression System - Cert 2 qualification
  • Experience working as a Trade Assistant
  • Capable of working safely in a team and autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • SAP Experience
