HERE'S WHAT YOU'LL GET TO DO

Are you safety focused, detailed and team oriented? Lehigh Hanson is seeking an  ESH Coordinator. This position will work directly with plant leadership to provide support in the areas of Environmental, Safety and Health.

What you will get to do:
  • Observe work behaviors as a function of work processes and procedures
  • Drive initiatives in support of the ESH Department
  • Maintain Safety Management Systems (Field Level Rick Assessments, JSA, STOP Development, Workplace Examinations, Zone Audit Program, etc)
  • Conduct Safety Meetings and/or provide safety meeting materials for supervisors (alerts specific to tasks conducted at the facility, etc)
  • Communicate with Plant Management and Supervision on a daily basis regarding safety and health findings
  • Escort regulatory inspectors when necessary
  • Responsible for Site Specific Training System at assigned facility
  • Facilitate New Miner, Annual Refresher and Task training
  • Conduct Safety System Audits at prescribed intervals
  • Audit Contractor Safety Programs, ensure Contractor compliance with MSHA training requirements
  • Perform other duties as assigned
This position will reside in Bridgeport, TX.

HERE'S WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Minimum 5 years in a safety focused role in a MSHA regulated environment
  • Strong computer skills including proficiency with Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively
  • Open pit mining operations and aggregate products experience required
