About the role

We are looking for a Boric Acid Plant Operator D to learn to operate in a manufacturing process that provides global customers with high quality borate materials.

Rio Tinto Minerals operates globally providing borates to world markets. Recognised as a leader in the industrial minerals industry due to product quality, supply reliability and technical support; we are proud to make modern life work. From our location in Boron, California we supply refined borates which are key ingredients in fiberglass, glass, ceramics, fertilisers, wood preservatives and many other products.

This role is a great opportunity to operate within a chemical process and be a member of a great team. Reporting to a production supervisor at our Boron Operations, you will be:

· Operating wet and dry equipment including conveyors, pumps, and tanks.

· Working as a team member to maintain a safe and productive environment.

· Monitoring environmental aspects of the job and ensure quality product is produced.

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

· High School Diploma or GED

· Ability to work any schedule

· Experience with pumps, dryers and agitated tanks

· Intermediate computer skills

· Drivers License
