  • Be part of a culturally diverse team
  • Work within a highly skilled production and maintenance team
  • Working a FIFO roster (8 days on, 6 days off, 7 nights on, 7 nights off). FIFO from outside of Western Australia is not currently possible

About the role

We have ongoing opportunities for Mechanical Maintainers who are interested in joining our Wet and Dry Plant (Production and Maintenance) teams at Yandicoogina. The purpose of these roles will be to provide a safe and efficient facility through the execution of mechanical fault finding, breakdown repairs, planned and opportune maintenance.These roles are a great opportunity for enthusiastic individuals who are looking for a new challenge.

Reporting to the Production/Maintenance Supervisor, the role will require you to:
  • Maintain infrastructure through repairing and overhauling fixed plant equipment to a high quality
  • Complete preventative and corrective maintenance for all equipment in the fixed plant area such as crushers, conveyors, stackers/reclaimers, cyclones, pumps, filtration systems, thickeners etc.
  • Conduct routine inspections of fixed plant assets including automatic lubrication systems and determine repair action when required
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with company policies and procedures
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects increasing safety whilst reducing risk and cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification
  • Isolate equipment for maintenance and operational tasks

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Mechanical Engineering/Fitting trade qualification
  • A Manual C-class Australian driver's licence (HR desirable)
  • Current Confined Space and Working at Heights certificates
  • Current experience maintaining and repairing various fixed plant (dry and wet)
  • Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded
  • Ability to work safely and cooperatively in a small team, demonstrating flexibility to business requirements
