About the Role
WorkPac is currently seeking a highly experienced Business Development Manager/Account Manager for a permanent position with one of our clients.
The role of Business Development/Account Manager will be responsible for devising and implementing business development plans for the future growth of the company, specifically targeting the Mining and Automotive markets.
This position will have a 50/50 split between Account Management (retention of client) and Business Development. Working with high profile mining and resources clients and establishing yourself as a point of contact will form your Account Management responsibilities.
You will be required to build new business through initiatives put forward by the business and develop strategies to increase its market share
This will also involve prospecting new market segments and organizations previously untouched, instigating initial contact, presenting and demonstrating a specific services range and then developing and maintaining profitable client relationships.

The successful applicant will ideally have:
  • Exposure to the Mining and or Automotive sector, Regional shires
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Skilled in developing new business
  • Manage, and build Customer Support Representatives team
  • Excellent communication, presentation and negotiation skills
  • Assisting in setting objectives for market growth and identifying areas of improvement.
  • Working closely with Business Unit Managers, you will have an active involvement in commercial tender preparation and the coordination of tender submissions.
Your duties will include:
  • Identifying and securing new business development opportunities
  • Account management of existing clients and maximisation of product range sales
  • Sales expansion across regional Western Australia
