Mechanical Maintainer (Utilities) Robe Valley (residential)

We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Maintainer to join the Robe Valley Utilities team to carry out inspections, scheduled maintenance and breakdown maintenance on Utilities assets to do with portable and water production assets, waste water treatment and disposal, and fuel infrastructure. This role is a great opportunity for a highly motivated individual with excellent mechanical expertise to make a difference.

Working a residential roster of 8:6 and reporting to the Utilities Mechanical Supervisor, you will be required to:
  • Carry out inspections, scheduled maintenance and breakdown maintenance on Utilities assets to do with portable and water production assets, waste water treatment and disposal, and fuel infrastructure
  • Comply with statutory Water and Waste Water regulations to Australian Standards
  • Maintain water infrastructure such as fixed transfer pumps, pressure vessels, compressors and motor coupling systems
  • Maintain and over hauling fuel infrastructure such as decant facilities, delivery systems, pipelines and bulk lube facilities
  • Investigate, record, report and act on outcomes from water testing reports, incidents, hazards and faults
  • Maintain a high level of safety awareness and comply with all RTIO Company Policies and procedures
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement projects by increasing safety whilst reducing risk & cost
  • Utilise SAP to ensure that maintenance tasks are recorded, assigned correctly and completed to the relevant standard / specification

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:
  • A Mechanical Fitter Trade Qualification
  • A manual HR (unrestricted) Class Australian Drivers Licences
  • Experience in waste water treatment and down hole bore pump removal/ installation
  • Excellent diagnostic fault finding abilities and fault finding hydraulic circuit
  • Experience working in hazardous areas and dangerous goods facilities
  • Basic understanding of SAP maintenance systems or similar highly regarded
  • Ability to work cooperatively in small team, demonstrating flexibility to business requirements
