Mine Dispatcher

Musselwhite Mine seeking Mine Dispatchers to join an exceptional team of Safety minded professionals dedicated to the success of the mine. Reporting to the Mine Coordinators, the Mine Dispatcher is responsible for ensuring the effective communication of the daily mine schedule.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective communication of the daily priorities and ensure these priorities are met by allocating resources as required.
• Inspire, motivate and provide feedback to supervisors and crew members to ensure safe and strong performance.
• Comply with federal and provincial acts and regulations, legal requirements, as well as adhere to all relevant corporate policies and procedures.
• Participate in all coordination's, pre-shift daily meetings
• Liaise and collaborate with Engineering and Maintenance departments to achieve daily production targets.

Requirements

• Minimum Grade 12 education, college/trades diploma or university degree preferred.
• Completion of the Ontario Supervisor's Common Core Program (#P770121) would be an asset.
• Minimum 2-3 years' experience as a Team Leader or Supervisor in an underground mine with demonstrated leadership competencies is preferred
• Minimum 5-10 years' experience with underground trackless mining.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety.
• Proficient computer literacy.
• Well-developed communication skills, (oral, written, presentation).
• Current and valid driver's licence is required
• Previous experience working in a culturally-diverse work environment would be preferred

The schedule for this position is 14 days on and 14 days off, 11.5 hours per day at Musselwhite Mine
