Electrician HV East Pilbara Utilities (FIFO)

  • Working 8 days on, 6 days off FIFO roster ex-Perth (FIFO from outside of Western Australia is not currently possible)

About the role

We are seeking an Electrician (High Voltage) to join the East Pilbara Utilities Division to actively promote safety awareness and safe work practices, while maintaining HV electrical equipment.

Reporting to the Electrical/Utilities Supervisor, the role will require you to:

· Execute scheduled work plans and unplanned or/and breakdown work

· Ensure compliance to all Statutory Electrical Regulations and Australian Standards

· Promote electrical awareness and safe work practices

· Recommend improvements for existing processes and methods

· Record electrical installing work in the Mine Site Log book for Registered Manager sign off

· Complete Job Hazard Assessments, Take 5 and Critical Risk Management safety procedures

· Work with Contractor Management and Technical Advisor personnel

· Provide electrical support to fellow mechanical and hydrocarbons teams

About you

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have the following:

· A WA 'A' Grade Electrical Licence and trade qualification

· Manual C Class Driver's Licence

· High Voltage certification

· First Aid and CPR certificate

· A High Risk Work Licence - LF, DG, EWP/WP

· Experience in operations and maintenance of high voltage transmission and distribution systems

· Experience in Hydrocarbon flow control, PLCs and Citect systems

· Proficient in use of the Microsoft Office and SAP maintenance systems

· Experience in investigation, recording, reporting and acting on outcomes from electrical reports, incidents, hazards and faults

It will also be beneficial if you have the following:

· A RTIO Company Representative qualification

· Cert 4 - Instrumentation

· A mechanical mindset
