Working as part of the Mine Maintenance team to safely and efficiently maintain the shovel and drill fleet.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide guidance to the shovel and drill crew, OEM and other contractors
  • Work closely with the shovel & drill planner and other supervisors
  • Create and foster a positive work environment
  • Focus on equipment availability and reliability, maintaining availability at or above budget
  • Oversee all projects related to shovel and drill maintenance and improvement
  • Manage shovel and drill maintenance costs within budget
  • Assist in the preparation of the month end report and annual maintenance department budget
  • Analyze the effectiveness of labour utilization
  • Ability to work under pressure and resolve conflict and interpersonal issues
  • Demonstrate strong leadership skills and lead by example

Requirements:
  • Red Seal trade certification
  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of varied maintenance experience within the mining industry, or, an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • Previous experience as a supervisor
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with other departments
  • Valid drivers license
